Our Story

KidneyCo is a passion project of mine. It should arm you as a cat owner with critical information and provide easy access to the best renal products across the world. It's not about IF, some argue it's about WHEN a cat develops CKD, chronic kidney disease. Studies indicate that 50% of cats between ages 10-15 develop CKD and an alarming 80% between ages 15-20¹. Some life long cat owners argue from anecdotal experiences that CKD affects all cats if the cat lives long enough to see that day.

Upon diagnosis you are often instructed by your veterinarian to switch to a renal veterinary diet. What your vet tells you and instructs you about CKD varies greatly. Conducting your own research online ranges with varying success. A lot of online sources provide valuable but sparse information, leaving out key details, which is unacceptable when time is of the essence.

KidneyCo accepts two challenges related to CKD maintenance:
